Project Radium Update #13: Continuing the journey
And so the journey continues…
…to complete SmartChain 3.0, and to begin verifying the world’s downloads.
Last week, we released Radium 1.4.5, containing the patched spread fees protocol.
You may read more about that release here.
This week, we remind everyone to please update to Radium 1.4.5 before September 25th, as well as some progress on SmartChain 3.0.
The hard fork to re-integrate the spread fees protocol will take effect on block 682240, which will occur on approximately September 25th. If you do not update by then, you will need to resync your copy of the blockchain from scratch, and you run the risk of losing funds if you continue to operate with an old version.
To update to 1.4.5, you may download the wallet directly from Github:
Or you may use RadiumTools to update if you are on Windows:
RadiumTools.exe v1.2 - SmartChain Verify
File verification, powered by the Radium SmartChain.www.verify.software
The majority of progress on the SmartChain this week is in the form of core protocol updates. If you would like to know more about those updates, feel free to join our Slack channel.
Otherwise, the two most notable visual updates this week are the loading screen and context menu.
We are continuing to progress slowly but surely.
Until next week,
— Tim Mesker, Justin J., and the rest of the Project Radium team.
